BLU 146

BLU 146 is a floating dock designed for the partial or total lifting of river and sea vessels out of the water for maintenance and repairs to the underwater hull. A floating dock works by flooding its buoyancy tanks to submerge, positioning the vessel above it, and then pumping the tanks dry so that the dock — and the vessel it carries — rises clear of the water.

This project has been optimised for simple and rapid operation, enabling the total or partial lifting of a vessel with a displacement of up to 300 tons in minimal time.

A key innovation is the capability for partial lifting of a vessel, facilitating quick repairs to axial lines, rudders, bow thrusters and other underwater components.
