Inland Dredger Ship
BLU 118 Inland Dredger Ship is one of the most iconic TSHD (Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger) designs developed by our company. A trailing suction hopper dredger works much like a floating vacuum cleaner, using suction pipes lowered to the riverbed to draw up sediment while the vessel is under way.
The vessel has a dual-hopper layout with a total capacity of 462 cubic metres. Dredged material is pumped into the hoppers and stored until they are full, ready for transport. Once loaded, the dredger sails to the discharge site. BLU 118 offers several methods for emptying its hoppers — opening the hopper doors, pumping the material ashore, or using a rainbow installation — depending on the requirements of each project.
